- Your child will be guided by a dedicated team of professional early years teachers with a good range of qualifications, talents and skills.
- Our ongoing program of professional training ensures that we are up-to-date with new developments and that we share and build upon our strengths.
- A thorough system of well thought through internal policies and procedures ensures that we provide best practice.
- To meet the needs of each child in our care we work in partnership with parents, early years specialists and local schools, children’s centres & councils.
We are considered a partner of the University of Sussex educational programme which includes the Montessori method for training their teachers.
Independent Quality Assessments
We actively seek feedback from and put our quality to the test with the following independent bodies (links to the various reports appear on the Horsham nursery page):
Ofsted
Ofsted is the main body assessing the quality of education in the UK. We consistently achieve good ratings, allowing us to give parents access to Free Entitlement funding. Please find our Oftsed report here.
Montessori - Standards & Training Accreditation Review (STAR)
It is important to understand that the name ‘Montessori’ is not legally protected and can be used by anyone without oversight – so it is vital to find a properly accredited school for your child.
Since its inception as the Montessori Evaluation and Accreditation Board (MEAB) in 2007, the Montessori Group has upheld a firm commitment to accreditation for Montessori schools and early years settings both in the UK and globally. In 2021, it is time to broaden the service offer and to reinvigorate the potential impact and depth of MCI’s involvement with its quality enhancement responsibilities across the education sector, strengthening its place at the forefront of educational quality assurance activity to benefit learners worldwide.
We proudly received our reaccreditation status in 2021. You can view our report here!
Quality Assured Montessori (QAM)
We have recently received our QAM certificate from My Montessori Child. QAM is an online self-assessment and improvement process for a Montessori early years practice. Together the management team worked through seven self-evaluation steps, reflecting upon our practice in light of each area.
Food Standards Agency
A third outside body, the Food Standards Agency, assesses settings for hygiene and food safety standards. They do unannounced spot-checks and visits to businesses that provide food for human consumption. Our Horsham setting has consistently achieved the top rating.
